New review! White Of The Eye
Hang on, this can’t be “white”, surely? An America-set serial killer horror thriller, with nary an English character actor to be seen, just assorted Americans?
Well worry not, my friends - because against all the evidence, White Of The Eye IS a recognised British horror film. Despite having none of the kind of stuff we like to see in our British horror films (period locales, recognisable faces from half-forgotten ITV sitcoms, Christopher Lee calling every female he speaks to a “slut” or somesuch, etc).
So grab your popcorn, take a slurp from your enormous bucket of Coke and have a honk on your crack pipe, take a load off and settle in for what can only be described as a nutty arthouse thriller directed by the bloke who gave us Performance. Which explains a lot. Although not why it’s classed as British.
