Masque of the Juicy Death

So, it’s Christmas again, and I must start by apologising for the lack of updates this year… in my defence, I’m a lazy tosser.

Seen a few films, though… and revisited a few classics I might have been a tad harsh on ‘back in the day’. For a start, Hammer’s Dracula Has Risen From The Grave is far more entertaining, and a lot better, than my current lacklustre review might suggest. That needs changing, post-haste.

Aaaanyway, you might be wondering what for is the Betty Boo-alike (showing my age, there) in the above video, Chris? Well, it’s an advert (Der) that’s been on heavy rotation over the past few weeks, and to my jaded eyes all I could see every time it was on, was the below.

Pretty sure that’s NOT the vibe the marketing team at Juicy Couture were going for, but it does say a lot about my frame of reference. 23 years of obsessing about these films has clearly taken its toll. Don’t even get me started on how the current Amazon ad gives me PTSD about The Beast In The Cellar.

So, a Merry Christmas to all and to all a good fright. I’m off for a bit of therapy. Here’s hoping you get that newly remastered blu-ray of some old shit you’ve been hinting about for the past couple of months!

Chris
