British Horror films - video clips

Hurrah! After a brief glitch, the video clips are back on the site (sort of). Clicking on these links will take you to another site, and the video will open inside a browser.
All clips are in .avi format, so they should play on pretty much everyone's machines.

Terror 2.6Mb
The famed "death by celluloid" scene, in all it's Susperia-ripping-off gory glory. Still very, very impressive, though...

Lifeforce 1.2Mb
A naked alien vampire woman is on the loose. The security guards have been informed. Their solution? A sandwich. A top scene from one of the greatest movies ever made

Taste The Blood Of Dracula 1.5Mb
Roy Kinnear has fallen out of a horse drawn carriage (the dolt). As he makes his way through the forest on foot, he hears an unearthly scream... One of Hammer's better pre-credits scenes

Dead Of Night 1.5Mb
Googie Withers has bought her husband an antique mirror, but when he looks into it, he doesn't see what everyone else does...

The Beast Must Die 0.9Mb
Calvin Lockhart's "hilarious" jape from the beginning of the film. Har har, funny bastard.

Psychomania - 2 clips 5.5Mb and 1.6Mb
It's the film everyone wants to see, and no-one hates. A top 10 in my collection, at any rate. Watch the groovy funeral song, and now also the biker resurrection scene, and make up your own minds...

The Ghoul 1.2Mb
Boris Karloff attacks in this clip from the 1933 classic. The biggest eyebrows you've ever seen and the worst Scots accent since Groundskeeper Willie won't save this cowering wretch... well, actually it might.

Mumsy, Nanny Sonny and Girly 820k
The chance for everyone to see saucy Vanessa Howard in her school uniform. This site really is going to get all the wrong sort of clientele.

Venom 872Kb
Not the ultra rare Legend Of Spider Forest, but the ultra-enjoyable 80s "snake-on-the-loose" thriller starring Susan "by George" George, "jolly" Ollie Reed and "barking mad" Klaus Kinski. A copper gets more than he bargained for when he rings the bell of an unassuming London front door...

Holocaust 2000 1.2Mb
That scene involving the Middle East dictator, a gust of wind and a handy helicopter propellor. Now you know why people always duck when they get out of the bloody things. What you don't get is the reaction from Kirk Douglas afterwards - he just shrugs his shoulders (awesome). For that, you'll have to track down the film.

Schizo 1.3Mb
You've all seen that picture of Lynn Frederick in the shower, now marvel at the scene yourself. A frankly gratuitous "homage" (ie rip-off) to Psycho by 70s sleazemeister Pete Walker. This clip has absolutely bugger all to do with the rest of the film. There probably haven't been that many complaints, though...

1.4Mb
Joan Collins' ill-fated hubbie finds out what happens when you insist your wife wears a daft cardboard hat on Christmas Eve.

1.6Mb
Doctor Who girl Wendy Padbury about to meet a sticky end in this nasty, nasty slice of 70s Satanism. "Give me my skinnnn..." I was going to put in the scene with Angel Blake in the church, but what with Lynn Frederick's shower scene (see above) I don't want this site getting the wrong sort of clientele.

Horror Hospital 2.2mb
Michael Gough and Skip Martin show off their cutting edge technology (sorry) from the opening scenes of this classic film. "Make a clean job of it, Frederick, the car was washed this morning..."

1.4mb
There's something wandering the corridors of Hill House... whatever you do, don't let it know you're in the room... oops. One of the most terrifying scenes from any film, ever.

2mb
Ian Carmichael has had an invisible elemental exorcised from his shoulder, but then he and his wife hear something moving about upstairs...

~~And Now The Screaming Starts! 1.6mb
Stephanie Beacham is getting a guided tour around her home by new hubbie Ian Ogilvy when she gets a nasty shock.

The Monster Club 1.4mb
Ya boo sucks to everyone who doesn't rate this lovely little anthology film. Here's a really scary, well-done bit - the Shadmock, spurned by his new lover (she's only after his money), unleashes the full power of his deadly whistle and packs her off home...

An American Werewolf In London 1.1mb
When compiling a list of scary clips, I just had to include the dream-within-a-dream sequence. Still terrifying, after all these years.

Lair Of The White Worm 1.3mb
Although mainly an entertaininingly bad camp frolick around the Peak District, Lair Of The White Worm does have its moments - usually when people are suffering from the poisonous effects of Lady Sylvia's venom. Catherine Oxenberg makes the mistake of touching some, and before you can say "blimey", the world's gone mad and no nun is safe...
