Merry Christmas!

As this is the first Christmas we’ve shared together where I have the ability to update the front of the website like this, I thought it was only right to say happy Christmas, one and all.

This week I tweeted (yes, we are still on Twitter… I try to ignore all the horrid people and just blithely post about old films) about my Christmas Brit horror traditions, and it was nice to find out that I’m not alone in kicking off December with a viewing of Tales From The Crypt. And then interspersing viewings of Home Alone and Love Actually with The League Of Gentlemen’s Christmas Special and Anna And The Apocalypse. Have you NOT seen Anna And The Apocalypse? Oh, you really should…

Anyway, here’s my list of fantastic Christmas films which are either Brit horrors with a touch of Christmas, or Brit Christmas films with a hint of horror. Which is the best? Let me know. And have a good one, one and all!

Whoever Slew Aunty Roo?

Tales From The Crypt

Don’t Open Till Christmas

The Amazing Mr Blunden

The Muppet Christmas Carol

Scrooge (1970)

Anna And The Apocalypse

Dead Of Night

The League Of Gentlemen’s Christmas Special

(PS, it’s The Muppet Christmas Carol, obviously)
